Emma Tempest creates work that feels quiet but charged. Her images are shaped by atmosphere, emotional tension, and a deep sensitivity to place. Whether shooting in a domestic interior or out in open landscape, she’s drawn to stillness, body language, and the moments in between.

Nature plays a consistent role in her work, not as backdrop, but as emotional terrain. Weather, light, and landscape shape the tone as much as the subject does.

Editorial clients include British Vogue, American Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue China, i-D, and W Magazine. Commercial collaborations include Calvin Klein, Cartier, Guerlain, Shiseido, Mulberry, and Giorgio Armani.

She’s worked with actors including Gwendoline Christie, Léa Seydoux, Elizabeth Olsen, Jamie Dornan, Lupita Nyong’o, and Vanessa Kirby, alongside icons like Paloma Elsesser, Guinevere van Seenus, and Mariacarla Boscono.

Her film work builds on the same language, using tone, rhythm, and performance to explore interior states. Stories unfold in the pacing, the pauses, and what’s left unsaid.
